Ashington Post Office Opening Times

So, there I was, standing in line at the local Ashington Post Office, clutching a parcel like it was a ticking time bomb. I'd missed the last collection at home, and I was desperate to get this package on its way. I glanced at my watch, then at the clock on the wall. It was like watching paint dry. I mean, I get it, the posties have a lot on their plates, but come on, I've got places to be!

That's when it hit me. I didn't actually know the opening times of this place. I mean, I'd been here a hundred times, but I'd never had to think about when they opened or closed. I was like a fish out of water, flopping around in my own ignorance. So, I decided to do some digging. For you, dear reader, and for my future self who might find themselves in a similar pickle.

When Does the Ashington Post Office Open?

Alright, let's get down to business. The Ashington Post Office, our trusty little hub of stamps and parcels, opens its doors bright and early at 9:00 AM on weekdays. That's right, Monday to Friday, you can pop in and grab your stamps, send a parcel, or just have a chat with the lovely folks behind the counter. They're there to help, after all.

Now, I know what you're thinking. "But what about those of us who can't make it during the week? What if I'm a weekend warrior, a Saturday samurai, or a Sunday superhero?" Well, fear not, dear weekenders! The Ashington Post Office has you covered. They're open on Saturdays too, from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Sadly, they're closed on Sundays, but hey, even superheroes need a day off, right?

And What About the Lunch Break?

You might be wondering about that mysterious gap in the morning. Yes, the Ashington Post Office does take a lunch break. They close for a quick bite from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on weekdays. So, if you're planning to pop in, make sure it's not during their lunch hour, or you might find yourself waiting a little longer than expected.

But here's a little tip from a friend. If you're in a real pickle and you need to send something off, there's often a collection point in the post office lobby. You can drop your parcel off there any time the post office is open, and it'll be collected the next working day. Isn't that handy?

What About Bank Holidays?

Now, I know what you're thinking. "What about those sneaky bank holidays? Do they catch us off guard and close the post office without telling us?" Well, I've got good news and bad news. The bad news is, yes, they do close on bank holidays. The good news is, they usually put up a sign to let you know. So, keep an eye out for those, and you should be just fine.
